A colorful image of a quadrant of the Moon, showing different mineral concentrations at the lunar surface.

200mm F/5 Newtonian, 2X Barlow lens, ASI 1600MMC Pro, Baader RGB filters. 500 out of 1500 frames for each filter.

A Moon mosaic made up of 33 images. This image required about 2 hours of work in order to be saved: the local conditions (fog, cirrus clouds, variable seeing) influenced about 30% of the images that make up the mosaic, so a lot of post-processing was necessary to normalize the individual areas. This is the reason why the image was resized to 50% from original. Also some details on the terminator had to be buried in the shadows due to the varying conditions..:(
