Another imaging session with the Red planet, in mostly stable seeing conditions. Too bad the low altitude of the planet does not allow for finer details to get through the Earth atmosphere. The next opposition (in 2020) should however be much more interesting…
For now, almost one hour of Mars, shown as the planet rotates and the image is affected by the atmospheric turbulence. 355mm Newton, ASI 174MM, IR pass filter (>685nm).
