The two evening planets are getting more easily visible before dusk, with Mercury getting closer to Venus each day now, until their close pairing on January 10th.
Due to the lovely sunset colors this evening, and while I was still at work, I’ve grabbed the laboratory’s Canon 1100D and a Sigma 50mm Macro lens and shot the two planets through a window at the second floor, looking South-West. The following is a half-a-second shot at ISO100 on tripod.
I have great expectations for the January 10th meeting…
