Sun in H-alpha – September 30, 2018

Scroll down to content

A new active region is visible on the Sun; after so many weeks of no spots at all, this double spot looks great for all solar imagers, despite being a rather small group. Poor seeing for this session, but it was worth it to take the gear out in the field.

Equipment: 150mm achromat, Quark H alpha filter, ASI 174MM. Seeing 3/10.
